Hiroshima is moving beyond its past as the first city to be A-bombed, and has become a modern, vibrant city.

Hotel:

We will be staying at the New Hiroden Hotel. This looks to be another excellent hotel at a great location.

• Close to JR Hiroshima station where all our touring jump off points begin
• Easy access to many interesting sites
• Restaurants on site, plus nearby shops and eating places.

• Visit the Peace Memorial Park and Museum
• Take the train and ferry to Miyajima - an island retreat among the most pleasant spots in Japan. Also shown here and here
• Shop in the enormous underground mall called Shareo or above ground on Hondori Street
