Connections to Japan
My husband and I were Jets in Hagiwara-cho (now Gero-shi). This town is about an hour south of Takayama. Every week I drove to Takayama for Japanese language class in the Town Hall. I lived in Japan for 2 years, my husband for 3 years. Since returning to America we have hosted exchange students through Ayusa. This is our 9th year hosting. Many of our students were Japanese :)

We have a dog, cat, birds and fish. Students with pet allergies...we are not the best family.

We have 2 young sons. They like martial arts, Pokemon and Legos. We enjoy outdoor activities and watching movies at night. Love to eat new foods and try new activities.
